| My Giant Yukon Mountain Bike |
| Me on my bike |
It's been a while. I haven't dropped off the planet. I've just been busy. I've been working out regularly still.
But I find posting each workout a little tedious. I have my own workout journal that I've been using.
Aside from last week where my energy levels took a huge dip - mainly due to my sinuses giving me issues, my workouts have been strong and consistent. Did you hear that? I've been consistent! That is huge for me.
I've been walking almost every day and getting my 10,000 steps in and also training with the kettlebells. I've been focusing more on swings than snatches. My elbow (left arm) is bothering me a little now even with the RKC bell.
Today's swings, I did 1110 swings total - mostly with the 16kg bell and then one set with the 24kg.
Yesterday, I picked up my mountain bike from the cycle shop up north. My mom bought it for me back in 1994. It's a Giant Yukon (pictured above). I haven't ridden it since before I had my daughter (she is six now). It needed new tires, tubes and levers, plus a tune-up. It is as good as new now. I took Floyd (thanks, Diana!) out for a spin and I had forgotten how freeing riding a bike is! I rode through the cemetery and stopped to say hi to my grandma, grandpa and aunt who are buried there. It was a super gusty day and biking into the wind was quite exhilarating. My legs were a little jelly-like when I got back to my mom's house!
I'm looking forward to getting out on the bike this Spring and Summer and adding that to my activity list!
The second pic is of me on my bike and how happy I felt at that moment. I need to get a bike rack for my car. The last time I used my bike I had my Ford Ranger and could transport it easily. I miss my truck! *sob Someday, I'll have a pick-up again.
Anyway, life has been busy. And it is going to get busier once my daughter is out of school and Summer arrives. I got my fishing license, I hope to go kayaking, hiking, biking and more with my family and friends. It's going to be a fun Summer!
