Snatches are Awesome

I used to focus more on swings than anything. I snatched here and there but I was never quite sure of myself. I've never really been able to train with anyone before I met Diana and then Tracy. And then a couple weeks ago, I was lucky enough to be able to do a short training session with Tracy Reifkind doing snatch intervals. Since then, I have been hooked. It was so much fun and it felt GOOD!

Since then, I've been adding them into my workouts - slowly but surely. Today, I did my most snatches yet. It's nothing to brag about, I know that. But for me, it's a sign of progress. It's liberating. There's something incredibly freeing and powerful about snatching a kettlebell. You are using your body to thrust a cast iron bell into the air above your head. There's no midway here. There's no second guessing or hesitation. You just do it. You do it with intention.

It might sound silly but there is something wonderful about that feeling.

I'm feeling better than I have in such a long time. I am growing stronger each day and it feels freaking awesome.
