High Rep Day

A good day for swinging the bell.

I'm feeling great. But today, my legs felt like lead when I was doing my morning walk with my friend via Skype. Then this afternoon I started in on my swings and I had that feeling in the beginning like this was going to be a rough one to get through. I just didn't feel the energy to do it. But I got going and an hour and 1060 swings later, I felt quite different. :)

It's funny how swinging a kettlebell will do that to you. You get going and you just can't stop. You get into a rhythm and it feels so good!

Today was my first workout doing doubles with my 12kgs. I am starting small with them. I only did 50 swings total with double kettlebells. I'm loving it and looking forward to building my base where they are concerned!

Looking forward to the rest of this week! Today was a high calorie day. Yesterday was a low calorie day where I undereat a little to get back on track after the weekend. I think that might have been why I felt tired today. Still trying to finesse that whole area yet. All in all, I'm feeling good. Weight is same as last week but again, I'm still trying to adjust to eating a little more rather than drastically cutting calories. I'm losing weight slowly but surely which is healthier than dropping it quickly. I feel good. My attitude is better than it has been in ages. I feel like I've reawakened to life. That makes me very happy.

Happy Tuesday!

  1. Nice job on the swings! You add a lot of transfers and 1-arms in there. I like to stick to just 2-handed for high reps. Always changing hands (and this is just me) makes me lose my "zen" for these high rep sessions.
Yesterday was a high calorie day for me....I'm hoping it "feeds" my snatch workout for today!

  2. I really enjoy one-handed swings. It's probably why I do so many of them. Not to take away at all from two-handed swings. I enjoy them too. I have a lot of fun with switching it up but that's me. I'm not trying to get out of doing a hard workout. I didn't intend to do 1000 plus swings but I got into a good rhythm and decided to keep going.
