There's just something about kettlebells that no matter what your mood, even if you aren't "feeling" it, the moment you start swinging you get going and you don't want to stop! You feel awesome afterwards. It's empowering.
My back has been bothering me a little bit - not painful - just tight and a little sore. It might be that my form is not great when I'm swinging double kettlebells. It's hard to stay tight. I need to work on that. That's why my reps have been so low where they are concerned as I'm trying to break into them slowly. Usually if you are feeling it in the back, it has to do with improper or sloppy form. So that is what I'll be concentrating on next time I swing doubles.
Aside from kettlebells, I have been walking two miles everyday - especially on days I rest from kettlebells.
Thursday it snowed so I was out shoveling for a good half hour. I'll be going back out soon to shovel once again. Beautiful sunny day! Great exercise!
After shoveling on Thursday, I wasn't sure if I should rest another day or try to get some swings in. So I thought I would do little mini intervals. I did three segments - 10 minutes each spaced apart through the last half of the day.
I wanted to do more but thought I'll save it for another day when I can really go at it.
Still, this little workout felt good.
