It's dreary out today. Looks like snow. I wouldn't mind some fresh snow if the temps would squeak up just a smidgen - high 20's at least! :) My favorite temperature range is 35-50 degrees. If it stayed that way more often than not, I'd be one happy girl.
Looking back on the weekend, I got a nice workout in as I shoveled the drive and cleared out that hard packed snow the snowplow dishes up onto the apron. That made the old forearms burn! Loved it!
I tend to to my kettlebell training towards evening and sometimes even right before bed. I sleep better. If I work out early in the morning I am zonked for the day it seems. Plus I have more energy at night. :)
My Tuesday training looks like this:
Walked: 30 minutes
Kettlebells: 500 swings
I did 10x10's again - loving them. Time is set 15/15(15 seconds swings to 15 seconds rest.)
1st round:
12k - 10x10 - 2HD swings
1 minute rest
2nd round:
12k - 10x10 - 1 HD swings 10L/10R
1 minute rest
3rd round:
12k - 10x10 - transfers
1 minute rest
4th round:
12k 18k 16k (in that order) - 10x10 - Laddering up and down - 2HD swings
1 minute rest
5th round:
18k - 10x10 - 2HD swings
Done.
Felt good as always. The 12k feels light as air and the heavier weights are feeling good again. Good reminder to not let up and to not quit my training! I hate starting over. Fortunately muscle memory tends to bounce back rather quickly. :)
Nice on the 10x10's.....it's so easy to follow and the swings just add up like crazy within a short amount of time!
