"It ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!" ~Rocky Balboa

Snatch Time!

I started my snatch training today. I am so excited to get started on this path! This week has been kind of nuts for me as I have a few things in the fire I need to work on. I can see where my list making is going to increase and be even more important as I work to schedule my time more effectively.

So today's workout:

Warm-up:
 16kg - 2hd swings - 10/10 (15/15 work ratio) = 100 swings

Snatch:
12kg - 220 snatches - with one minute to a minute and a half rest between sets. The last set - I took a two minute rest.

5/5
6/6
7/7
8/8
9/9
10/10
11/11
12/12
13/13
14/14
15/15

My legs are a wee bit shaky and I can definitely feel it in the forearms. I think the main thing I was concerned about was my grip more than anything.

Thank goodness for the Rocky soundtrack! I needed it at the very end. :)

Happy Dance. My 12kg competition bell is supposed to arrive tomorrow! YAY!

Onward!
